What type of concentrates are being used by the Smelter?

A.

Floatation Sulphide concentrates with copper content varying from 25-45%. The concentrates are blended to get an optimum blend range of 31-34% copper.

What is your annual import requirement?

A.

At the current level of production, import requirements are of the order of 350,000 MT.

A.

Concentrates should be clean and relatively free from deleterious elements.

A.

Concentrates are imported from Australia, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Chile, Argentina and Canada.

Concentrates are being received at Dahej Jetty, adjacent to Birla Copper smelting facilities.
